    Louie,

I am no expert on this, but I don't think this is correct. I believe the dash indicates a Special Color Order, but that color isn't always FireGlow Orange, but it could be FireGlow Orange. Maybe Mike Trom could tell us if other Special Colors were available? I would imagine some people might want a Rivy color, which would be considered Special Order???

In the spring FireGlow Orange was introduced as Code Q, and was no longer considered a Special Color Order.

So dash cars may be FireGlow Orange (or something else, assuming there were other special colors that could be ordered), and Q cars are all Fireglow Orange.

    Jim,

I do not believe there is any color breakdown for the Stage 1's, you can extrapolate to estimate the number, but I think that is the only way.

Congrats on your new car Logan !! :beers2:

    Very rare color combo ...

As far as rear tires and wheels go, because 68/69's have that built-in fender skirt that goes down low as opposed to a radius up and around the tire it is difficult to get a wide tire under them. an 8" wheel with a 5" backspace will allow you to run a 275/50/15 tire. The 8" wheel will minimize sidewall bulge, the 5" backspacing will tuck the whole deal in and then the 275's are about 10" wide - its really not possible to tuck too much more tire under a stock rear setup.

Lastly, I dont know if you know it or not but the BUICK GSCA (Grand Sport Club of America) holds their national event in Bowling Green KY - I see you are from KY and you should DEFINATELY try and attend. This year the dates are May 12-15 and you will see soo many nice Buicks your head will spin

...Good Luck with your new pride and joy, and welcome to the 68/69 StepChild Nation !!
