CALLING ALL JUNK YARD DOGS - I have an APB for some needed parts

    crest.JPG headlight.JPG IMG_6675.JPG lock.JPG Hey brethren,

One of my other toys is a little gem 1991 Cadillac Eldorado that I bought from original owner several years ago with 48,00o miles on the ticker.

Needless to say, GM never imagined these piles would be around as long and since many parts are obsolete new.

1990-91 Eldorado models are the same parts.

If in your perusing local yards, and / or if you know of yards that may be able to help me, I need to procure the following list of items:

    1) Glove box door lock / striker assembly. If you find one, let me know and I'll walk you through the extraction procedure seems simple but can be a bit of a fight.

    2) Drivers side headlight glass lens, likely a complete housing unit.

    3) Cadillac wreath crest (emblem) that is between door and opera quarter glass outside. It was a double back tape backed from the factory so they dry up and fall off over time, but a razor blade between the body and the wreath does the trick.

There are Cadillac Specialists in Hemmings motor news. Both new and used parts. "Caddy Daddy" is one that I recall right off the bat. I do know of one individual in Albuquerque who specializes in Used Cadillac parts. PM for contact info.

    MarkO,

My dad bought out a caddy dealer in the late 90s. We have a ton of NOS “small items”.. I know I have a grille for that car. Let me see what I can dig up. I need to run to our storage garage this weekend for another member and will report back.

great running cars, especially in the snow. We had a beater for a couple of years that would drive halfway up a 4 foot snow plow pile.

    Thanks for the responses fellas.

'95 will not work, but thanks. 1990-91 only.

The car has family sentimental value and it is a pretty cool little early 90's GM luxo-junker-hot rod.

The daughters ascertained that its a "he" and his name is Theodore...

Louis, if there is a inventory listing of 90-91 Eldorado parts you have, email it to me I may be interested in picking up those specific make model and year applicable parts for the shelf.

Al, let me know what you come up with after your visit to the yard.

    Talk soon.
