Bob, my build has been running problem free for 2 yrs. Must have installed the converter 50 times when I run into this problem. I kept thinking I didn't have the converter all the way seated. I even took the trans and converter to my trans builder to make sure it was seated all the way, which it was.
Anyway, to make a long story short I ended up just grinding the shaft and all has worked perfect so far. Actually, the grinding part was quite simple, and only took maybe 10 minutes if that. Maybe the 20320-B is the 265mm and gives you the exrta depth.

I purchased the 20320-3 265mm Max Perf and "beefier" I believe . I immediately noticed a weight difference between the Coan and the brand new Pro Torque SS converter I had laying around. The Coan was noticeably heavier. Must be due to upgraded internals.

    Coan stated (20320-3 265mm) $877.50
"This is designed for hi hp & torque engines with exceptionally good driveability" This converter will maximize the torque multiplication, while yielding 98-99% efficiency. This converter can be run up to 900 hp & 750# torque."

    Coa-20211 $299.95
"is our street performance converter.Good street driver, with less than #450 ft of torque. This would be just fine to cruise, but not recommended for your application if your planning on racing or abusing the streets with this combo."

    I think the mm refers to the overall converter size doesnt it ? 258 mm = 10.157 in , 265 = 10.433
