After running 11.81@112 on a125 shot of nitrous back in 2005-6 I went with the 2004r trans with a 3000 lockup convertor. I ran an 11.80 @114 on the 125 shot so after finding out you do not get that many runs out of a bottle of nitrous I decided since I want to bracket race anyways I will just put in the smallest jets I can get so I bout some and wouldn't you know it the car didn't slow down in time, well, not much! just mph. But I did this at quaker and your MPH is always slower there. So now I run right at 12.31 @ 105 as the best, last time I went there in 2020 after that we went to 32 hrs a week so that shut off all my fun for over a year and a half.
Hey Mart, in the pic above you drew arrows to are the oil mods to drill the passages to the crank and it helped with the oil going around cam that was all done by engine builder. there is a oil hole there for the cam bearing. Pretty sure that is what all that was for been a while lol
Kinda of touchy there Guy....... So all these tests..... was that your compression test & leak down test??? 3 years for those...... interesting time line. Sorry for saying it was old news, 3 years to do a cam swap...... sorry to have offended you. Good luck with the swap. I was actually encouraging you & looking forward to the results.
Like the timeline it is one of my favorite lines and those test their just tests they mean where your at with the motor and it gets me all touchy when I think about how good they are. Didn't offend me why would you think it would do that. I thought some other 350er would like to know what to look for and see the results of an old 350 still pushing it. You don't have to watch or comment can stop at any time it's not your thread. Participation is key ideas start here do it. I am at least pushing forward. Can't help what everyone else is doing.
Ever wonder how much spray goes down the throat when nitrous turns on it is crazy. I am not thinking of going max on spray either. I would rather run motor on its own and that way you don't have to worry about all the extra junk needed. I like the small shot of the 75 shot plus it knocks off a second plus in the 1/4. spray bomb Try running in the 11's without your power adder, with out going over a 410 gear There is your challenge for the day
