    Hey all,

My eyes are crossing doing my research.
I'm looking for recommendations for a basic alarm system.

I already have GPS and ignition lock-out, so I've been looking for something extra to help deter thieves. Something that makes noise.
Yes, I know... a 9mm makes lots of noise.

I was looking at the Viper 3305V 2-Way (or 3105V) because of their ability to sound off if the car is bumped. I'm guessing the sensitivity could be set to Warn or set it off full-blast if a window is busted or the ignition is being popped out... which won't do them much good. Maybe adding the 507 Tilt sensor also in case someone tries to tow it.

I think I can wire up an unused or auxiliary part of the system to splice into the dome light switches to set it off if a door is opened. Not sure about that yet.
I don't need remote start, or remote door lock\unlock.

My fear is a false alarm when I'm not in the area of the car and annoying the neighbors for hours. :(

    Any suggestions?

Yup, a kill switch on your starter. Keeps the car from going anywhere and won’t bother the neighbors, and simple to install.

I ran a switch from trunk to ignition and that would kill the distributor.

Like I said, I've already got ignition kill.

Just gonna go with the Viper.
