Does anybody know who will re-build my 4bbl Rochester for street use, for a1970 buick 350? I am in Arizona, would like to keep shipping costs down. Orrrr... if anyone see a nice re-built one on E-bay, please PM me. My car has auto trans, and AC. I will also post this in "parts wanted" Thanx!

pick up doug roes rochester carb book and cliff ruggles carb book and rebuild it yourself. they have lots of info. if the throttle shaft needs bushings a local machine shop should be able to help there

People on the Forum keep recommending John Osbourne as the guy to rebuild Q-Jets. John says he no longer rebuilds carburetors. Another reconditioner is The Quad Shop, Jim McGowan 815-874-4884, $470 plus shipping and handling.

With about 2 hours and a $25 rebuild kit, You can rebuild it yourself. Ive done a few Q-Jets, theyre easy as pie.

Sent you a PM. I have done hundreds of Qjets, and we used one on our race car for most of last year. I don't charge a ton of money to rebuild them for people. I'd rather help out when I can.

Let me know if you are interested.

And, if your carb has some sort of problems that you don't think it can be rebuilt, I have a bunch of correct Buick 350 carbs that I could build for you.

There are also the options of Craigslist and local swap meet finds. One of the local guys here has a carb that his will sell for about $100.00. I think it's a GM reman from years ago. I'll find his info if your interested. It would be a numbers matching for your car IIRC.

That link doesn't work. I already re-built my Rochester, isn't exactly easy as pie, some of the choke linkages didn't want to hook up easily, maybe my core was crap?

You can do all you want to rebuild the carbs but if you don't rebush the base plate it won't be right it may run but the power is not there they suck air and dirt into the carb.

Look of techg8 on here. He can rebuild you exactly what you want for an extremly reasonable price. It will work better than new. His name is Ken. I would trust him with my Q-jet

If you want a pro to do it go to www.sparkyscarbservice.com he's a great guy. I've never heard a bad word about him, he'll do it to whatever level you what from a basic rebuild, rebush and rebuild, recolor, etc.
Tell him I sent you if you go there, also you'll find his prices more reasonable than the others, he's "the man".
I have one ('71 Buick 350 QJet) that I rebuilt in the for sale section right now that the sale id pending on. You may need to look back a couple of weeks; things have been crazy for me lately and I'd kind of forgotten about it. I'll try to update it. I'll sell mine for $100 plus shipping, it's ready to bolt on and go. Don't hold it againist me that I'm an OLDS guy:laugh:
