I have a 69 Buick skylark 2 barrel and changing over to a 4 barrel. The line inlet on the 2 barrel is on the side and the inlet on the 4 is on the front. If i just get the 4 barrel line from inline tubing, will that be the right setup for me out do i need to get something created?
You can always bend your own piece of line, not that hard. But the inline tube line should work just fine.
check my avatar pic above - i took an extra chrome 3/8" dual feed holley line ( brand new they are like $12-15 i guess , $0-5 at about a million swap meets ) that had a bad bend in the "short" end , cut the long end off right by the junction , rebent it carefully and it misses the water neck/hose , sneaks behind the distributor ok and loops right down towards the pump . added a filter to the end , just needed a short connector piece to the pump . and screwed right into the q-jet . found the pic , added - better view of it . free plug for kenny G. - one of his carbs .
Thanks guys, so could i trim my existing line add a fitting and flare the end? Or would that not seal correctly? Basically just trying to come up with options.
wow , forgot to check back . probably - just be sure that the fitting is correct to go into the q-jet BEFORE you do your flaring etc . and if not already there maybe account for adding in an inline filter .
I ended up buying a 4 barrel line that fit right up. Just was concerned about getting the right one, so its all good now.
my olds line broke so i just got a piece of flared brake line with a nut on it and some rubber lines and clamps works like a champ.
