The way I read it, I see that the selected moderators will review all adds before anyone else gets to see them. Does that mean that they will have first dibs on iteams that are in a big demand or cars that will make them a fortune before anyone else gets a chance? And whats to say that to keep things fair on a first come first service basis a fictitious user name isnt created for parts/car grabbing? How can we be assured?www.buickhorsepower.com or www.buickgsca.com doesnt seem to do this. How's it going to work and isnt that going to creat alot of time on your part? Or is this leading to money options for people running the boards? Chris

Chris, you're reading way too much into this. Moderators will be reviewing the ads for compliance with our rules, and contacting the seller for his acknowledgement and acceptance of the rules, before the ad goes to the forum for public viewing. Any moderators caught taking advantage of the system, would undoubtedly be relieved of their positions.

    Chris,

The boards you listed have very small memberships, and a comparitively small amount of commerce going on. When we were even a 4000 member board, we had very little problems with this.

Moderated classfied posts are the norm for most larger automotive boards, if they have classifieds at all.. many of them don't. A few larger boards work as a "free for all" and the owners and mods take a "too bad for you" approach when confronted with scams and abuse of their resources.

No, this is not about money, if it was, I wouldn't be asking for votes and opinions concerning the classfieds, I would simply envoke rules and regulations to add income for the board.

We will be carefully watching the moderators as we get into this, and anyone we feel is taking advantage of their postion, will be removed from it. Not all moderators will have the power to validate, or even see, new threads.

Thank you Jim for looking into this and making me more comfortable about the situation.
