Hey Racers, What is the best way to clean a set of aluminum heads??? Mine are apart now and I was thinking about glass beading the heads but am worried about hurting the deck surface of the heads. Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks
Glass will eat into aluminum, if you blast aluminum it needs to be with plastic media. Carburator spray, aluminum wheel cleaner, and a phenolic scraper is what I use. The aluminum wheel cleaner is only if you want them pretty.
