Simple question: What product(s) do you use to clean your convertible top?

My Mustang has a white to, I use Raggtop. I think it's the only OEM recommended cleaner. You can get it on ebay, no Parts stores sell it. There is also a conditioner sealer or something, usually it comes in a 2 piece set. The cleaner is pretty good, it won't harm your top. The conditioner is so so. TR3 also works pretty well........Frank

Wish I could help but I have a convertible holey sheet. It might come apart if I scrub it :Do No:

The top on Jen's 07 convertible is parchment and it gets moldy constantly. It also looks dingy most of the time. Ive tried everything and still cant get it clean. I basically gave up. At this point, as far as im concerned it needs a new top due to the ingrained staining and mold problems. I finally resorted to Tilex bathroom cleaner and that was the only thing that worked somewhat.

The vinyl top on my 442 is parchment. I've used those Mr clean magic erasers before on it and they have worked. A convertible top I dunno"! But this Raggtop stuff I've been happy with. You need to brush it in, You can't just spray it on and wipe it off and get good results.

Lowes sells a pressure washer concentrate called Krud Kutter comes in a purple jug mix it 50/50 and spray it on a wet top scrub with a stiff brush and rinse. I use this stuff for all my general purpose cleaning works like magic.

Don't most convertible tops have a flurochemical coating applied at the manufacturer for water resistance and once you start scrubbing it with these cleaners then it's gone? I don't have any answers but do own a convertible and the tops needs a good cleaning too ....

After it's cleaned I use Tonno Tonic, best I've found for my black top
anyway. Leaves it looking factory finish and lasts for at least a year.
I give it two coats and my 2004 Mustang conv still looks new.
Can find it cheaper maybe at other sites.
