First of all i would like to say, i dont race often either at the track or at the strip. i hate street racing and know its dangerous, which is why i only stick to the track, soooooo.. it all went down yesterday, being memorial day weekend, and me working tuesday i decided to enjoy my car all day yesterday, decided to go to in n out yesterday at around 10pm, so i told my brother if he wanted to join, and we headed out. on my way down the street, taking my time over the speed bumps, i hear a huge roar from a car next to me, being kind of dark i did not know what it was, now i can take anything from guys outside my neighborhood, but when it comes to my block i want them to show respect, my streets are not a track so i hate when they do that. so i decided to teach them a lesson.. turned around, and to my luck his light was still in red, caught up to it and looked at it.. it was a 98-99 cobra sounded really nice.. burned out in back of him as to chase him away, and went to a street in back of my neighborhood, where there is nothing but huge car auction lots and a nice stretch of road. we went off a 15mph roll, we went at it, i was at full throttle:3gears: guessing 4500 rpms smoked him went past him about 1/2 a car, then 3/4s then his 4th gear came inn and went back to 1/2 a car, now remember i still have a bad tranny, slips and throws oil at high rpms, i think it was the vacuum modulator that did not have a gasket on it, anyways went past the 1/4 mile and spanked him, he let off and i still kept on going, we turned around looked at him and he gave me a thumb up.. now overall my intentions were to 1 smoke the cobra, and two teach him a lesson of not to go and rev their engines in a nice and quite neighborhood, wish i would of asked what he had, i know for a fact though my engine is not tuned yet, and the tranny slips like crazy. just put inn a rebuilt tranny today, so cant wait till i try it out. once done i expect them to not even come close to keeping up. thanks

True.. but i bet he will never come around here ever again waking up the neighborhood. if it makes a difference there were no other cars at all, just us two which i know still a risk. that is why i dont do this at all.

i agree...although it makes me wonder, either my tranny was slipping bad, and i did see a huge cloud of smoke when the oil leaks out of the tranny, but still smoked him, but either way still need to work on my car, either he had a stout setup and why he kept up, or my cars got issues that need to be corrected.

most likely that year he could afford a bolt on or 2 and trust me you get it tuned and now with the trans, later days to about 130mph.

Walter the Kingdon Race days for this year are Sept 10,11,12. we will be going the 12. In my car as well as a few other buick buddys and a chevy friend of mine will be there.

Also going to the track this friday to run the Camaro and get a buddy of mine some seat time on the lights.

    Talk 2 u later
