Has no effect on cooling as long as you keep it at half fill, but you will want to run an oil cooler for the motor oil. Jegs sells an adapter that fits between the oil filter and timing cover housing, just run lines from it to a cooler mounted along the frame rail or in front of the radiator like a trans cooler and it will be fine.

    PM replied to cfed.

Also, if cfed just wants the motor and not the trans/converter, "KOKO" already has first dibs.
But sroys, you are now second if he passes.

Are you sure you don't need a Moser Ford nine inch for a GM a-body or Moser 12 bolt (aftermarket housing/pumpkin) posi complete for that baby? W/some cash? I can't believe it has not sold yet. Straight from the machine shop w/all the accessories & stuf, girdled pan, aftermarket rods, etc. What a smokin' deal. Interested in aftermarket front discs?

I will eventually need a moser 9inch or 12 bolt for what the new motor will be putting out, but for now the 10 bolt will be able to handle the whopping 400 crank hp this motor is putting out lol. I just need money to buy the rest of the parts i need and to pay for the labor:rant:.

Gotcha, thanx, sorry about asking the same question twice. I should list them both on here to see if I get any bites. E-bay did not work well (I think shipping makes selling big/heavy stuff on ebay a pain). If I could make this work I would asap. I see you said; "motor will include 1 7/8 headers, distributor, flywheel, balancer, plug wires,...basically everything needed to drop in and go. msd 6al box and coil." Does it happen to include a carb?

    Thanx.

I am going to list the axles here right now to see if I get any bites.

There is no carb, thats about the only thing you would need to complete the motor.

When i bought my 8.5 10bolt a few years ago it came from Florida, and im in tennessee, and only cost $140.

Me too. I must be doing something wrong, it has not payed off yet. They never let me return the tickets for cash after I decide I don't like them either.
    Chumps!

I'm interested in the engine. How many hours/miles are on the engine prior to freshening? What was the use of the engine, (street or race)? I'm looking for a slightly built up street engine for my 1969 Electra. Also what does half fill mean, I'm not familiar with this term? My phone number is 918-261-1640. Thanks, Ian

DOG NARDS!!!! I am glad you sold it. I only had half the money saved so far anyhow. And if I did buy it, I would have had family-guy guilt. Taxes were more bogus to me than ever before this year.

Great luck with the new project. Keep pics on your build-up.
