Ok, refilled my pump last night and put the top up and down a few times to notice that one of my top cylinders is leaking from the top seal. Can this seal be replaced or do I need a new cylinder? I checked hydroe.com, but I do not see it on there(maybe I am blind?) I would assume it is as simple as pulling the old seal and putting the new one in? Please let me know about this and where I might be able to get this seal.

    Thanks,
    Brian

What size O gasket is that? This is going into a 72 convert, but I am sure the cylinders are the same across the years. What else did you rebuild on yours? Maybe I will just get it all!

    Thanks,
    Brian

Your o-ring is bad....just remove it and match it up. You should have no problem finding one for it.

I have a cylinder that is leaking from the o-ring also. How does the cylinder come apart in order to get the o-ring out?

    Thanks

George had emailed me and told me to get a dental pick or scribe and pull the O ring out of the top of the cylinder. I was able to do that along with the little washer on top of the o-ring as well. Thing is that the end of the cylinder has a big eye that fastens to the top. How do you get the new o-ring on the cylinder rod?? Anyone know?

Are you talking about the yoke ? If so is this the nylon bushing you need ?

I believe the new one will stretch over the rod end easily...you can spray a lil silicone spray lubricant on the rod end to easy the o-ring slipping over it.

The bushing pictured above goes into the cylinder top housing and allows the cylinder to pivot as the top moves up and down.
