    I'm planning on buying this , [h=1]Prestone DEX-COOL Extended Life Antifreeze/Coolant.[/h]
    Good or bad choice?

Don't use Dex-Cool. Instead, use concentrated Ethylene Glycol (the yellow stuff), 50/50 with distilled water from your local drugstore or supermarket.

NOT spring water - distilled water!!!

If you have "borderline" cooling, you can also add a bottle of Water Wetter (just about every parts store has this), and cut back to about 40% Ethylene Glycol.

Agreed. Don't fool with the dex-cool. That gimmicks ship has sailed

So 7.5 qtrs of Ethylene Glycol and 7.5 qtrs of distilled water? Because I'm about to go buy this stuff and flush my car tomorrow morning.

Ethylene Glycol is the 100% mix?

u can purchase 50-50 already mixed water & ethylene glycol, but I would not do that.
Buy two jugs of prestone anti-freeze & two jugs of distilled water and mix your own OR dump in a jug of prestone, then a jug of water. Then mix the last two jugs and dump as needed. .

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

/\/\/\ This. Just say "NO" to Dex-Cool. I flush it out of any GM products I own, as does most everyone else.
