Could you make T-3 halogens?

I noticed the new halogen light I bought for my 71 Riv has a glass lens that is sealed to the body of the light. If I found an original T-3 and remove the lens could I put it on my new halogen?

I dont think you can. The glass lens is sealed because I think there is a gas inside to make the bulb last longer. If you break that seal it may work for a while but you might be making another in a few weeks or months.

Curtis is right. This is completely not doable.
Now, if someone would make halogen T3s... :) Granted, I'm sure they could not be made concourse correct, but I would buy them.

Some companies make lenses that the more "modern" halogen bulbs will snap into - just like on a new car. There was a thread on this once before, but I can't find it.

The repos T 3's are much better than the original ones. Much better for driving. Lectric Limited.

Anything is doable with enough time and money. I have a customer with a 40 Packard. His brother used the original headlights and modified them to take a halogen 6Volt twist in bulb from a modern motorcycle. They work great.

Try the Carolina Classic Trucks site for lenses to replace your old head lights. You add a standard halogen to it.
