Here's an update. I've had the car to the track twice. First time out it went 12.1xs at 112. Got 3 passes in and it was very consistent. I got 1.71 60' times and it was pulling the front wheels 6-8" dumping the clutch at 3500. It was very hot and humid. The DA was over 3k'. Corrected time was 11.70s.

Last night it was cool but the track was garbage. I swapped the cam and the car was feeling much stronger on the street. I could only leave about 2800. That netted me a 1.77 60' and 11.83@116. It was street night and everyone was spinning. Im very happy with the 116 trap. If only i could have last night's air with a well prepped track. Corrected times were 11.6s@118.

If i can 60' 1.6s i think 11.40s are possible with the right air.

Heres a vid my cousin took. Can't see the suspension though. That was a 2500 rpm launch. 11.83@116. If only the track was prepped and i could have left at 3500-4000..

It looked a little bouncy,..but with it wanting more launch rpm its gonna drop then recover. Id be going for shocks next for sure

Yeah it nosed down. 2500 isn't enough. It was a bad night with the street cars there. Everyone was spinning

  6. Joe-

I've tried all of the above to get below the 1.7 60' times. Hasn't happened yet. I've been through the Moroso springs, CE 90/10 shocks, a lot of different clutches, MT 3054ST slicks, etc..... Car went 1.8 60' So I threw thousands of dollars at it.....

Current set up is the M22W with 4.10s, HR bar, Viking DA shocks all the way around. I leave at 3500 on the 2 step. Car goes 1.71- 1.73 consistently.

Glad to see another Buick up at NED...

Wow we have a similar setup. What times are you turning and what engine?

Also I must have watched your YouTube video a hundred times..

  8. It’s a 470 with ported S1 SE aluminum heads.

Cars gone a best of 11.44 but has a bunch of 11.50s and 11.60s at 122-124 MPH

Damn. You're right where I want to be. Probably heading back to NED in a couple weeks as long as the weather isn't too hot.

Our 60's need to be lower as our mph suggest sub 11's.....

Unfortunately with the 4speed stuff it just requires some sketchy rpm at the dump to get the 60 to coincide with the mph,..but then in a 3600lb or more 112in wheelbase car you will just start really tearing stuff up then it becomes un fun. The gasser cars that run C class are in in the mid 6's now and and they are leaving at 5k to 7k depending on the engine size,..the 5sec A and B class cars leave at 7 to 8k a few even more....

A friend has a nasty 4 speed 73 Camaro. We constantly joke how much easier a th400 would be. It's almost like a support group..

    Hell I'm shifting at 6000-6200...

One last update for the year. Got to Epping for their last night. 55 degree weather was perfect and it was not real busy. I ran 11.78 at 119, 1.78 60'. I went for broke the last run. I dropped the tire pressure down and dumped the clutch at 4k. 1.68 60' 11.57 at 118.6. I briefly let up and short shifted 2nd. The car left so hard it made me a bit dizzy for a second. I quickly shook it off and got back on it. Im sure that would have been my 11.40 pass.

Also with the 4.11s and the rev limiter at 6200 the car was on the limiter for maybe half a second or so on the top end. Guess I'm changing gears or getting larger tires..
