while my skylark has 181000 miles and my gn is in storage my daily driver is a 94 roadnaster that is my driver/undrcover race car i was driving up to northern maine about 1 am i am doing 85 mph. in my rear view i can see headlights and they are comming quick. i take another look to see maybe a cruiser and i am busted. as i say to myself fog lights cant be a cruiser. so i put my flashers on to slow him down he pulls up along next to me he is driving a 740 il bmw . we are doing 85 mph so i shift into second gear turn my interior light on and give hin the point lets do it. so we start to go he hangs in in second i shift third at 100 as i start to go by 120 i start pulling him next time i look down the speedo is pointing at 2nd gear on the shift ind and he is 3 to 4 lenghts behind me i figured i proved my point so i put the flashers back on to let him know i am slowing as we both slow down to 75 he pulls up along next to me turns his interior light on and gives me the hand shake and scraches his head i give him the thumbs up and he takes off up the highway as i continued to drive to camp thinking that guy paid 60 plus for that car and my slightly modded 145000 mile buick just kicked his but. when i go to camp i told the wife about the kill she asked did i use the nitrous ........ nope didnt need it this time :3gears: her replie are you allright my replie i have a reputation to uphold ...... she ask ya and whats that .... i said going fast with class f### that bmw he went home to cry

yes Ken the car has 2.56 and G80 and alot of other goodies one the pcm was programed to not only to propery tune the engine but remove the speed limiter i was laughing the first time i brought it up to 120 i can cruise at 100 @ 2000 rpms and average fuel hwy ecomony of 27 with a best of 33 i will drive roadmasters until there are none left. and it also tows like a dream(in 3rd gear) i LOVE HWY GEARS and hotchkis sus yes to the life ins also

after driving one of these cars with 2.56 gears my skylark is going to be set up the same way,since my drag race days are few and far between and my car is a convertable my goal is to make enough power to run over 120 in the 1/4 mile and any et is ok as long as the speed is there. as far as the maine troopers go alot of those guys have leat me go with a warning THANK GOD but i have paid my fair share of there pay over the years
Yeah ... RoadMonsters ROCK (LT1-equipped ones anyways) I was in my '95 Roady Wagon coming home from upstate last weekend doing a leasurely 80-85 and some jerk in a big pickup was playing games ... riding on my rear, then changing lanes before me on upcoming traffic and boxing me in ... finally after the pass when he's out front he'd slow eventually to like 70. A true follower not a leader as I refer to these types of drivers Finally I had enough, and even though the wife and dog were in the car I waited for him to try and pull the block maneuver again but this time I nailed it and got in before him ... then boxed him in next to the semi for about a mile :laugh: o No: Finally I gave him enough room to get over infront of the truck and when he did I sped up keeping him off my rear bumper. Every time I'd hear him romp it and try to pass I'd give the wagon the spurs ... one time he kept in it until about 110 or so and I just walked away ... he slowed, I stayed in it, he until he was a good mile or so back there and I didn't have to deal with him again. ... after about 2 minutes my wife, who I thought was sleeping, opens her eyes and sez "why do you think you have to race every car we have ??"
69gs you wife sounds like mine. we have a house in northern maine and ride 95 from boston to exit 133 everyweekend so i spend alot of time on the highyway. i was going up rt 201 just past 3 rivers white water rafting .... when a pickup truck was up my a$$ there were plenty of time when he could have passed after 10 miles i said to myself once i get past berrys store i am going to dust this guy .......... so once wide open 60 1st gear 98 2nd gear the pick up was about 59 yards behind trying to keep up at 110 the blue lights came on it was a sheriff he was pist off bad so i told him look sir you had plenty of time to pass me i thought you were some mainiac and you though this was grandpa,s buick and its is far from that ...... he had no choice but to laugh asked me were am i going in such a hurry i told him to my house is only 2 more miles on the left i though i was going to jail he told me dont let there hilbillys get you all worked up i have a call in jackman let me get in front of you have a goood night. WOW as the sweat was puring down my face what a relief so now i slow down when they pass and i see its not a sheriff all bets off she goes to the carpet and i put another stamp on the door for the roadmonster
