Dash Bezel swap?

Question to those that may know. Can a 1970 Skylark dash bezel be swapped into a 1969 Skylark? I'm trying to research this by photos. But photos don't tell much more than that they may be similar enough. Looking for answers. Thanks in advance.

I can give you the 69 bezel dimensions if needed. :)

My buddy Tim was looking to do this.
I think you can put a 70 style cluster into the steel dash of a 69..............but you would need to install a 70 style dash pad as well.

I want to do the opposite by putting a 69 dash into a 70. Any help would be appreciated.

I may sell my '69 Bezel if I can use the '70 in my dash like I plan. I'll keep you posted as this takes shape.

Did some research and found some pictures for reference points. The ones you see in primer are of the 1970 and the other are my 1969. The angles and mounting points appear identical to my eyes. There looks to be a slight difference in the cut outs for the AC. Does anyone know if that creates an issue? If this can work I'll be in need of an AC vent for the Dash now. Does anybody see something out of place between the two that I didn't catch in relation to this swap?

Here are photos of the 1970 with the 3 panel design and the 1969 with the rectangular opening to compare.

I invested in 1970 AC vents. Now I need a 1970 dash. Are these being made by anybody out there?

I have the dash pad now on the way. Should have the Dakota setup by the end of the month. I'll compile the project in photos if anyone is interested.

The dash bezel is on order. Should be a couple weeks. Eighty employees at OPG came down with COVID from what I heard. So might take a minute to come in.

Mocked up the dash pad and Bezel from a '70 Skylark into a '69 Skylark. Every connection point matched up perfectly. These two years are absolutely interchangeable for anybody else that ever wondered.
