I had not seen this thread when I bought mine from OPGI. Just received them yesterday and they not back lite like like originals as they said but light flows through the entire sticker. They are made by remautoinc it appears. Junk in my opinion
Really don’t get how these vendors think it’s ok to sell junk.

Is that one from eBay legit?

The one that Jason references is Phil Hertel’s from Speedway.VERY good reproduction IMO. Not as good as Greg’s was, but I haven’t seen any better than Phil’s lately.

Does anyone have a link to speedway? I have searched a speedway site but I couldn't find anything. Also, Does anyone one know if the Black dash kits actually shine through correctly? Maybe I will just switch over to that until I can get a acceptable woodgrain.

I pulled off this face plate to look. Here is what I think is an original wood grain. It was out of my dads car. He has had it since 1992 and far as he knows its never been replaced. Notice how just the words are see though. This is how it should look like.

I'm working on my 69 GS A/C heater control assembly right now ( same as the 70-72 but with Silver decal) Working with a graphics company right now to reproduce the decal/label where the back-lighting will come through on the lettering, Should have pricing from them next week, but if anyone has an alternative for the " correct silver decal" please let me know ( PM or Cell # 513-464-0600) I have one of Briz's decals which is really nice & I will use it if the correct style ends up too expensive...

Re-doing the dash bezel, added a 71-72 Chevelle tach from Shiftworks in the clock position, Led dash lights, & trying to straighten up everything under the dash... What a job!!! Thanks for any Help.....

If your printer is anything like any of the ones I used you'll pay 250 -500$ for the set up and then whatever they charge per piece with a min order. Probably have paid over 10K in set up over the last 5 years. Just laid out 500+ for a 3D scan of one of the Riv trunk filler parts. and it will be around 65.00 per part to have them printed. 2 yr only parts and low demand.

I checked into this and it is Speedway, his feed back on Ebay concerned me a bit. Has anyone bought a dash set from this seller?

I have 2 sets of the wood grain decals from seller 85041 in Phoenix. One is an older set and one is a few years old. They do not have the translucent letters. If some say his do then he must be selling 2 different stock numbers.

Read his listing and states the ones he is offering has translucent letters, how long ago did you buy your last set?

I got the last set about 2 years ago or so. The ad said they were translucent and they weren't. I'd just say, buyer beware.

My question to you would be was the dash set advertised as translucent?

At least those have a reasonably decent looking font on them, as opposed to TPP or the old CARS sets that everyone wants to sell. I really couldn't care less personally if they are translucent or not.

I in fact did buy a set of woodgrain dash stickers from this guy about 2 years ago as well. The font and overall look is waaay better than the other places and the A/C one I bought does light up but unfourtunatly the whole sticker lights up. Since its impossible to find a correct set I finally just used a thin plastic like black sheet cut to the size of the sticker to block the light and cut ugly squares the size of the text it was behind on the so I could at least (kinda) make out the words at night. 95% of my driving is during the day though.
