I need to replace mine as it is damaged, but there are no suppliers for this part. ( Or is there?) Can anyone help? Trips to the local yard seem pointless as most of these cars that have them are barely off of the ground. The owners of the yards won't allow anyone underneath cars either. Can't say I blame them for that! Russ Waters 1970 Skylark Convertible 455/TH-350
Russ, I posted in the parts wanted forum, and on the BPC email list, and got a nice used cable to replace my damaged one. I'll bet someone can come up with one for you.
Russ, There are a number of universal cables that will work. Lokar, and B&M make them. http://www.jegs.com//cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=15732&prmenbr=361 http://www.jegs.com//cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=29316&prmenbr=361
Thanks for the suggestions. The aftermarket types look like a sure fix for this now-irritating problem. I'll keep everyone posted. Russ Waters 1970 Skylark Convertible 455
Russ, Which one did you go with? I need one for my car too, and would like to get one I know will work for sure, instead of spending extra cash and having something that doesn't work.
RacinBuicks has what Russ, I think RacinBuicks has what you need for sale. Look in the parts for sale on this board, Good Luck, Don

I have replacement cables in stock that are a direct replacement for the originals. They snap into the firewall and connect to the gas pedal. The bottom of the cable no longer has the o-ring, they have the newer boot type seal. I,ll sell them for $20.00 plus freight. Call me if interested 800-519-2241.
