  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Dissappearing posts

So I'll look at a new post and then close it out. When I click the 'New Posts' link I get the list of new posts, but the post I just looked at is missing. It won't show back up until someone posts something in it. Is there a way to change that so it doesn't disappear?

When I click on "New Posts" I will scan the list of new posts and any that I want to read I right-click on them and open them in a new tab. This way the original list stays intact. The reason they disappear when you read them the way you do it is because, once you read it, it is no longer considered a new post.

First, let me point out that you are mistaken. No posts have disappeared as you describe.

If you look at a thread and it has not changed before you go back to look at it again, it does not contain a new post. For this reason it should and does not show when you click on the "new posts" icon. If you want to go back to one that has not changed since your last look, click on the "recent posts" icon on the right. Then you will see it.

I understand it hasn't actually disappeared. I've just not seen it done this way before. I was not aware of the separate recent posts button. Thanks for that, though I will say it does not show up on all the pages/links like the new posts link does. If I may give my two cents, add the recent posts button to the toolbar so it is readily accessible everywhere.
