Does anyone know how to remove the consolette on a 70 GS?

So I have a 1970 GS with a 3 speed in the floor and the consolette, which is the little half console. The thing is loose and rattling something fierce, plus I need to seal up the shifter hole, but I can't for the life of me figure out how the heck that thing comes out. Through the shifter hole, I can see the phillips head screw that's holding it down, but I can't get at it because of the top of the console. This leads me to believe that the top of the console comes off somehow, but I see no screws and I don't just want to jam a screwdriver in and start prying on a part that's likely impossible to find. Any help would be appreciated.

Feel under the front part of the console. There are two nuts to be removed. Then the top comes off

7/16" head nuts...lift the top up on the back and slide the top forward a little to unhook the clips on the back

Yall are awesome. Got it. Even knowing where the bolts were, it still took me a second to find them. Thanks, no more rattling console for me!
