I bought this car 21 years ago. The last registration was 13 years prior to a person named Stephen Rodriguez in Medford NY. Been to a few LI car shows over the years, to say the least. Never once had someone came up to me and said hey where’d you get that? I remember so and so had that car. I’ve yet to order the Sloan documents, rather buy car parts 74E31EB8-5D6F-4BEF-ADAD-78FE52DD76C8.jpeg

Howdy! Any luck finding some previous info about that car? Curious about those black lines, are they decals or paint?

The stripes that appear to be black in the picture are actually dark red and painted. I’m personally not a fan of them so if they were vinyl the would be gone. They’ll disappear one day, the final step will be to have the bodywork done. Currently rebuilding entire drivetrain.
I have the car for 21 years, a friend of mine found it in a garage in Fresh Meadows, NY. The last time it was registered was 13 years before that. He had plans to turn it into a track car till I convinced him not to and sell it to me. Best 2K I ever spent.

Very rare car you have (I happen to be a big fan of 350 4-sp cars). A little over 200 made IIRC. Probably only a handful remain. Used to be a beautiful Hunter Green one that was at the Nationals for a few years in the late 80's. I only know of a few others incl. an SCO Charcoal Mist one in CT that's supposed to be getting restored.

353 out of 5896 GS 350’s produced. I knew about the 343 4 speeds but I had to look up the total of 350 hardtops.

Not many survived. Do your #'s mean 10 were 3 speeds?

    '71 was about the same # & '70 close to 900 (IIRC, in '70 # of 4-sp. was exactly 10% of the automatic #).

Most of the 350 4-sp cars that survived at all seem to be pretty rough. Yours looks to be in good condition.

All things considered it’s in good condition, I was a being a bit sarcastic. Will need a lot of bodywork after the drivetrain is completed. I unfortunately don’t have the room, or the knowledge to even take on a project like that. There’s the usual bad spots in the floor, trunk, rear quarters, small bubble or two in the doors. Surprisingly there is very little rot under the original vinyl top around the back window. Just a little hole in the drivers side a pillar at the bottom.
