The Stage 2 heads are NOT legal in NHRA Stock or Super Stock. A '70 Stg1 falls around "D" and the non-stage cars and all '71-'72 go down from there. The '71-'72 cars usually fall into "G".

The TA Stage 2 heads have been approved for IHRA Top Stock, however IHRA officially announced that this class will not exist after the 2004 season. The current players are trying to find a way to keep it afloat. The problem is attendance, and the reason for low car counts is a big argument. Some site frequent rules changes and re-factoring. I suppose the cost to build a competitive Top Stocker has kept some away, too. You're looking at around $50,000 for a competitive car. Some out there have more in them than that.

Back to the original question, no you can't race in an NHRA/IHRA "class". But, you can run GS Street Eliminator at the GS Nats and the BPG Nats.

    Have fun.
