Not a bad deal seemingly given the market. I'm assuming non #'s matching engine & idk anything about how to (or if it can be) verified as orig. Gran Sport optioned.
It can be verified. "cannot verify if it is a true GS" = "I damn well know it aint a true GS but I ain't about to say that -- I've got a car to sell."
The wood wheel, rocker moldings and chrome wheels are not Gran Sport items but were optional on all Rivieras in `65. The code on the trans is specific to the Gran Sport option which should also include a 3:42 posi. If this isn`t a put together car it may be the more unusual early emblem car. Body looks very solid and although the details indicate the car has been around the block a couple of times this may be a very good buy. Tom Mooney
It has been posted for a few weeks, popped up when I was looking at the black one. A friend of a friend checked it out, not a Gran Sport. I think he said it was #'s matching 401, and it was built in March, after the emblem letter change.
I have sold some parts to Rohn...this is not an original dual quad car but does look like a solid car. Tom Mooney
