DupliColor 1653 or Bill Hirsch Buick red late 66-71?

I find several threads about the red Buick engine paint on Google, but most of them are few years old.

Many liked DupliColor #1608, which doesn't exist anymore so new favorite seems to be the DupliColor #1653.

But I'm considering to use Bill Hirsch "Buick Red late 1966-71".
They claim that "Most show winning cars today use Bill Hirsch Engine Enamel".

But why are there so few persons mentioning Bill Hirsch on forums?
    * Is it the price?
    * Or worse, is "Buick Red late 1966-71" a pink version?

I used Bill Hirsch coating for my manifolds and it has done a very nice job I used Eastwood red for engine. You can see how it turned out in my sig pic.

Hirsch is way too pink. I would not use it for the engine.

Somewhere here I posted a comparison of the Hirsch paint over one end of an original paint untouched valve cover.
I thought it was a very close match.

    I found this company

    http://www.g2usa.com/product/G45.html

They have a epoxy paint thats good for 900

I got a sample from them for their red, and it looked really good against the red on my motor now.

Duplicolor here, I like the stuff...but now that they have it, I always follow up with a few coats of their clear coat engine enamel too. Adds some nice depth and gives a chance to still look good if carb cleaner gets on it and eats away a little.

CyberT. Is this available in Sweden? Where?
It seemed impossible to ship spray cans from the US.....

There are probably more sellers available since American cars are a big hobby here but these are those I found when I did a
    quick search earlier:
    Bill Hirsch: http://uscarparts.nu/sv/11-motorfarg
    Dupli-color: http://www.swedol.se/sitesearch/#search:dupli

Also found this, but i know uscarparts are real; http://proparts.blogg.se/2011/march/bill-hirsch.html

Regarding the dupli link. When I tried to buy duplicolor I found out that duplicolor Germany (europe?) is not related to dupli color USA, i.e. Despite the name it is not the same company. Hence they cannot crossreference or sell 1653 red. If you are really able to source the correct 1653 in Sweden I'd very interested:Brow:

Oh, you are right. I will check some paintshops next week.
But Bill Hirsch aslo have spraycans: http://www.hirschauto.com/AEROSOL-ENGINE-ENAMEL/productinfo/EEA-SPRAY/
I will ask uscarparts if they could take home one for me.
I have emailed "dalhems" and asked if they could import dupli-color since their products are from summitracing.

I still say Krylon is best match if you can find it. Anyone tried the Eastwood yet?
