i hooked a choke cable to the switch pitch lever on the trans on my wildcat,whenever you pull it out it switches to high stall,and yes it does feel like a kick down but smoother.i also hold the brake on in low get the revs up a little then pull the cable for high stall let it offat about 50 or so back to low stall.1963 wildcat.
Thanks for your help guys. At this stage, the current owner is researching as well and has found a local car to go and "eyeball" so he can see what the linkage looks like, and how it attaches. I have found a guy called Randy Watts from Watts Wheels & Wings in Oregon (?) off the internet who is also doing some parts searching for me. Very helpful, especially considering I am not mechanically minded and its all new to me! Learning though! Fingers crossed! Sharon
