Well, took Mike's car to the local dyno today and it looks like a fuel pickup problem. The car ran flawless on the dyno so the only thing left is getting the fuel out of the tank under HARD acceleration with anything less than a completely, totally topped off fuel tank. BTW, this puppy is putting out 368.5 hp and 642.3 FT. LBS!!! at the rear wheels. Is there an aftermarket fuel pickup for a '72 GS out there somewhere that fits the stock tank? TIA,
something along these lines: http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=167420&prmenbr=361 Otherwise you may have to fab a tube yourself to position it towards the rear of the tank.
Skip, Give me a call.. I make a direct fit 1/2 pickup.. and have to do another one for a customer here shortly, so I could do two.. JW
What rpm is the horsepower and torque showing at? That torque seems a littel high for an engine that engine dynoed at 480. Jim Burek
