    Hey guys

Does anyone have experence with both the M/T's ET streets and the Hoosier QTP? I need a new set of S/S tires for my new JW stage 2 and cannot decide which way to go.

    Thanks,
    Jim Byers

You can also look at the M&H tires. They now sell them at Jegs. I think they're called Muscle Car Drags. They have a lot of the inbetween sizes some of us need.

    Hey Jim
Just pick your size....I think you'd be hard pressed to tell a difference between the two.
Go as tall as you can, that's important for your contact patch as is width.

I dont have any experiance with the QT's but I have run E.T. streets for the last 4 years or so and I love them. I ran a 28x10.5 et street and the same in a slick and with the slick my 60 ft was 1.67 the best and the et streets are a consistant 1.68. they dont take much of a burn out either. Nice to run on the street, they are not wish washy as long as you run them at 20 - 25 psi.

Hey guys, Thanks for the responses.

I am currently running MT Sportman pros 28x10.5
    8.3 tread, 28" tall and 11.2 section.

    So my choices are:

    MT ET Streets 28x11.5
    8.6 tread, 27.5 tall and 10.90 section

    or

    QTPs 28x11.5
    10 tread, 28 tall and 11.0 section

So, I am leaning to the QTPs but I am affraid that somehow they just wont fit.....quess I will have to give them a try. I will be in the 10's in street trim even if it kills me.

    Again, Thanks!

    Hi Jim

I have a 64 skylark and the biggest tire I can fit is the Hoosier
    QTP,s 27x10.5
    9 inch tread 27 tall 10.6 section
The section width is the biggest problem. But your old tires were already a wider section width then what you want to go with, so you should be fine. You must have just the right offset on your rims.

I have run both brands also,, not much difference ,, both work .
Good luck getting into the 10s

    Tom
