bought a edelbrock 750 cfm from ebay for a very good price with the electric choke and was wondering where and what type of gasket i need to use for the carb base?also any mods needed with this carb? Thank you
George, I have always used the regular base gasket and put the metal insulator in between ...manifold heat screws up the aluminum base of the carb. Hope this helps Jim D.
George , if your local NAPA dealer can't furnish one try http://www.buick-parts.com/catriv/riv03.pdf ....They are a lil high but will have what you need. Hope this helps Jim D.
I've had good luck with CARS too, for my Nailhead-powered Riviera. Poston also carries the heat-insulator type gasket and the stainless steel gasket that goes between it and the carb. Another source for this stuff is the Mopar dealer, lots of Mopars run AFBs. Another thing I did to mine while I was messing around in the area was the heat riser blockoff kit from Postons.
