Can anyone tell me where to find numbers on the block to see what it is? Once I find the numberes, is there a good site to look them up. Also is buick, olds and pontiac 350's the same.
    Thanks

Casting/engine numbers are different between the different makes.

Here are scans for the 1961 - 1977 small block Buick engines:

Wow, Looks like some good information for me. Thank you very much... Looks like I will have to wait till I get the motor out of the car though so I can read the numbers. I was hoping to find out be4 I pulled it so I could start looking for parts.

With the exception of perhaps the distributor cap, all Buick, Pontiac and Oldsmobile 350 and 455 engines have no major interchangeable part numbers.
