So me and a buddy head out to the local saturday night car show in the GS, got the car moderately shined up, we went out there with the goal of using up the half tank of supreme plus gas that I bought yesterday.

We finished up at the car show and went for a cruise downtown, just about sunset, beautiful orange sky, exhaust hummin and fogerty rockin' on the cd player. We get out to clover point, which is beautiful by the way if your ever in victoria.

I park and before I can shut off the car this girl walks up out of nowhere and offers us a slice of cake, apparently it was this guys bday and there was a bunch of people hanging out there, and we mingled for awhile, they all admired the car, then this one rich kid I guess noticing that the attention had switched from his new challenger to my 69 GS walked over to his car across the lot and parked right behind me so he could get his new ride a little more attention. I guess that made him feel a little better until we left. We said our goodbyes and nice to meet you's, and I pulled out onto the straight road that goes back to the main road stopped for a second and then slowly loaded it up a little, and I looked back and the people we were hanging out with where watching with a little anticipation, then I realised the choke had closed and it stumbled a bit as I was loading it up and they all looked pretty disapointed, I then let the hammer down and sent my bfgs to meet there maker, they lit up like the fourth of july as I wound it right up tight in first and let the brake go and rolled out, they were all cheering, hooting and hollering, including people parked in a couple cars behind us, made my weekend, challenger boy probably didn't like that his girlfriend was cheering for us:Brow:. As we were coming back from town on the highway I noticed this old 76 cutlass in the other lane, I then hear him kick down into second and go by us, it was on, we were both slowed to about 50 mph, I gave er the old 3rd to second downshift and we wailed up to 5000 rpm at 70 or so and went by him like a hot knife goes through butter, I got a couple lengths and then shut it down. It was a 350 olds. Moral of the story is, don't underestimate buicks:3gears: And it was a fun night. And we made some new friends. And even though she probably has about 270 hp and 360 tq I love my little buick 350, sounds like a hot rod to me.
