Expansion valve probe lead too long ?

The probe lead for the expansion valve appears to be to long. Anyone have a fix for this ?

 

Anyone? should I just try to hide it in the black goo ?

 

Got a picture? The correct one was about 4" long if you are talking about the bulb that is held on with two clamps. If you mean the coil then the repalcements were much longer than original. Kind of look like an Appalachian Moonshine still.

 

Yeah, it's the moonshine still one. I just hid it under the black stuff.
