For those guys going to Martin this Friday, the Factory Stock class will be running a quick 8 and the rest will be best 2 outta 3 shootouts.
    1 will run 5, 2 will run 6, 3 will run 7 and 4 will run 8 etc. etc.
Jimmy J, Paul Petcoe, and myself and possibly 2 otherswill be doing FS tech.
    See you then!

Can help you with tech if you need it. You know what I can cover( Stutz Bearcat, Oakland, Pierce Arrow, Duesenberg, Oldsmobile.)

Not mine. The dirt road coming into my street covered the car, trailer, and truck with a heavy layer of grey limestone mud slurry. YUK.

Guess that's another good point about enclosed trailers vs my open one.

    Hey!

I'm coming over to Martin to watch y'all, had planned vacation day, so if anyone needs any help with anything, let me know. Not bringing car, didn't pre-register, but I need a break from work. And I know if I don't go, I will wish I did! See you tomorrow! :3gears: :spank: :beer
Maybe I'll remember the camera, so I can at least take some pics.

Hey Roberta, bring your helmet. I may need a Lady driver, with good reaction time skills, and a heavy right foot :Brow: . Joe X.

REALLY! That would be cool, I'm out to the trailer to get right now! COOL! :TU:
Joe X, helmet is rescued from the trailer in the rain, and is sitting next to the digital camera, I'll see you and the rest of ya, tomorrow morning, it looks like the "you know what" (wx), should make for some very fast racing, and I can't wait, haven't been to US131 in 10yrs or so! So can't wait to check it out.

    Somebody?

What if I bring the '68 GS 400 Convt, could I still get in the FS race? Without Pre-registering, just wondering, I would drive it, though?

    bring it Roberta

You wouldn't be eligible for the drawings(prizes) but they still may let you
    enter and race.
Yes there are 70 something cars, but you know that there's always a couple
that don't or can't show up, I bet there will be room for you.
My .02 cents worth :Do No:

I was there, without the car!

Well, what a great day, I went out and had a great time seeing everyone, and all of the asking where the car was? Ran Joe's X a few times, just because he said I could, since I brought my new helmet.
Took a few pics, to save BW here, they are posted Here
Add your own captions, I guess the best one would be what is Brian doing under his car? The rest are self explanatory, I would think! See you all in September, and I'll have the convertible GS400, 4speed for sure!

Thanks to Year One and the F.A.S.T. Crew

Thanks alot for a great time.
Bugs are about worked out of the car, just need to work on me :Dou:

Thanks to Dan Jensen for the "loaner" Q-jet :3gears:

As usual, got to put some new faces with the names :TU:

I don't think there is another form of Drag Racing out there that has a better
group of guy's, I mean when you can leave at the end of the day and say
you had a blast, even after getting a :spank: in your 2/3 shootout.
Took my spanking from Doug Sawyer  See you at Stanton for a
rematch Doug :Brow: Damn shifter

    Thanks again,
    Tom

What an awesome day...great friends, great racing. The only thing missing was the Miller BBQ at the Comfort Inn between days.

I won my shoot out against a beautiful 440 GTX !! Giving up 113 cubes, I can't believe I got him.

Thanks guys for all your co-operation at Martin yesterday. Things went smoother than I thought they would. Everyone listened and got there pairing together. It's nice to work with folks like that.
Thanks Year One for helping with all the great gift certificates for the winner of 2 outta 3 races and the money for winner and runner up in the quick 8. I think a good time was had by all.
