Looking for a NOS or a real good original to bolt onto a 1970 Skylark I recently bought, any leads appreciated. Larry.

John, did that Reese hitch come off of a A-body Buick? And if so, how did it mount up? Was the front bolt attached to the bumper while the rear bolts attached to the trunk floor? Just wondering what it takes to install on a 70 Skylark? Thanks, Larry.

Yes, a '71 Skylark, Yes on mounting, 2- thru the trunk floor, both sides of fuel tank filler, other one thru the bumper.

I have these 2, neither are nos. I removed them from cars. The wide mount one i believe i removed from a sportwagon the narrow one i removed from a skylark.

Interesting. My car used to be a tow vehicle (pulling 5000 lbs for a 100k miles according to the original owner) but the hitch had been removed before I acquired from the "flipper." There is a "pad" welded onto the two frame sides behind the bumper. I'd always assumed a bar traversed under the fuel tank between the frame rails.

Doug, thanks for posting the pictures, but I went ahead and bought the Reese hitch from John. Again, thanks for showing two different versions of hitches. Larry.
