Hey guys I finally got me a Buick, I have been dreaming of this day for as longs as i can remember. i am a 21 year old from iowa, and this is my first project car. here are the details on the car:

1970 buick skylark 350 2 barrel. owned by an older lady everything is origional exept maybe a belt, origional am radio still works, 116,000 miles, motor is untouched and scathed, cruises at 70 mph like a dream.

it is a great car no major rust, just some minor surface rust, the whole thing is going to be stripped and sanded and repainted, so that is an easy fix.

planning on pulling the motor this winter (considering i live in iowa) rebuilding it, and doing any other mechanical work at that time.

planning on installing front buckets in place of the bench seat, changing it from a coulum shifter to a floor shift, repainting, and some other minor adjustments.

was wondering how easy/hard it is to add a vinyl top. mine doesnt have one, but i really like the look of them, didnt know if anyone has done/attempted this job and what the dificulty is.

not planning on keeping it origional, considering it is not a GS, or any lower production vehicle. want to make it streetable, but make it know, that it any no pooch.

i am just so happy i finally have a buick of my own. its nice i have a climate controlled garage to do this project in. if any one has any helpfull hints or ideas let me know. thanks for readin.

    will attach picutres soon hopefully

    Nate
