Without measuring the dimensions of the installed airfilter I ordered a K&N based on the recommendation of the K&N website. Filter arrived, and while doing the swap I noticed that the K&N is not centered in the housing. The inner diameter of the K&N is 12", while the installed filter has about 11.5". While I wouldn't expect any trouble with it in use, it just does not feel right. Anyone here with the same experience? As I had some time on my hand I decided to modify the old filter and use it as an adapter. Still do not understand why K&N sells the 1650 with 12" ID as the one fitting for the 455, but so what. It will work.
