Don't know exactly where you mean by central Florida, but you can go to the junkyard report page on george nenadovich's website for a Tampa-centric list of yards.

Gary, LKQ which is here (Clearwater/Tampa/St Pete) will be opening a large yard about 1000 cars on E Colonial (SR 50), should be about 10 miles east of Orlando. The opening date has been around April. The local yard manager that works in the Clw yard is doing all the prep work on it now. Prices are the same and there is typically a small core charge on larger items. Don't expect to find too many old pre-78 models due to the demand for vintage parts they usually don't show up unless they are picked clean.

if i remember correctly (it's been a couple years), osceola auto salvage has a couple of dozen old 70s gms.
    osceola auto salvage

Quarno's in Cocoa is where i got my 8 1/2" rear ends to replace the 9 3/8" monster that was in my electra. i don't know what else they do or don't have but they had to have pulled those rears out of something. Quarno's

there's a yard just east of st cloud on the north side of 192 (if you're east bound and get to 'Reptile World' you've gone to far, the yard is on the 4 lane divided part) that used to have a bunch of stuff but the last couple of times i drove past it looked like they had crushed out all of their <80 cars. :ball:

    maybe they just moved em?

I remember back in the mid eighties when Airport Towing had some really good stuff. 55-56-57 T-birds,58 Eldorado convertible, a lot of Rivi's, 59-60 T-bird ragtops. Even a rare 60 T-bird with a factory sunroof. Lot of Mopars, too. Quite a few Skylarks, but can't recall any GS cars. Over the past 7 years ,they have crushed most of the old stuff. BUMMER!!!!

Airport towing is where i got the motor for my Stage 1. If you ever go in to the one off Narcossee Rd you'll notice black tile flooring thoughout. I did it for the motor, turbo 400, and radiator. They also have another yard in Seminole County and there is a fellow there, can't remember his name, but he has all kinds of Buick parts. Rivs and Skylarks. He grabs everything as it comes in. He kinda has first dibs. Good Luck, Ron PS there is another yard just before you get into Apopka off 441 called Big Daves. He used to have a pull-apart and I had found a set of Stage 2 heads on an old Wildcat. Lost them in my divorce. Ex-wife acutually threw them away.

Does anyone know where I can find some good stuff around Miami? I'm a firstyear student at UM, and it's hard to distinguish junkyards with good stuff from 'yardes with...well, junk.

    Miami:

Hialeah U-Pick is just west of the 826, on the north-south portion north of Miami airport. You can see a large U-Pick sign off to the right if you are on the south-bound side of the 826. Not sure how visible it is if you asre going north. Not sure what exit. $1 admission.

    Fort Lauderdale:

Tell me what you are looking for and I'll keep an eye out. Only two U-pull-it yards up here. Right now there is a picked-over rusty 61 Lesabre ragtop and a beat up 1970 Lesabre.

I believe it is on SR50 close to 417?????
I have not been there but know it is on 50.
I think you need to take I4 to 50 and head east.
I know there are some other yards there, place
called Bithlo. Should be before you get to Orlando
    Speedworld race track.

Most of those yards don't have any old cars. You might get lucky and find an old Le Sabre or something. Years ago the one acoss the street from McDonalds used to be the largest Mustang parts dealer in the area. Most of the old cars are way in the back. Good luck, Ron PS Airport Towing off Narcossee Rd. has Quite a few old cars in there yard. They also have another yard in Seminole county with some Skylarks in it.

    Where are you located?

GS grills are expensive. Repros are being made but cost $550 each.

Repair panel is available for the RF fenderwell.
