RC48.jpg RC42.jpg This is one of the rarest options you will ever see on a Buick A-Body from 1969-1972
Option code-I2 Forced Comfort-flo Ventilation was only available on non-air conditioned cars. Including convertibles. According to the 1970 Buick Daily Car Reports there were only 333 GS cars across all body styles and all assembly plants produced with this option.

Production numbers for "Forced comfort-flo ventilation" UPC C57, Sales code I2.
    455 Coupes = 171
    Convertible. = 33
    350 Coupe = 129

I have had this setup for years. Both working fans with radio bezel w/ switch. This was pulled from John Looneys 1970 GS455 during its restoration. I know it works because for a short time I owned that car.

I can Deliver to BG next week for anyone wanting it. Asking $450. You may never see one of these working setups available again. Don't miss out on one really rare setup.

Where do the fans go up in the cowl?

They mount in the cowl and behind the kick panels. Its a really cool option. I bench tested the fans and I will post pics of them if someone is serious about buying them.

Like having window fans in your house, instead of central AC. Pretty cool option.

They bolt to the bottom of the cowl screen panel. My 70 Fremont built 4spd convert has this. That's
pretty rare. Thanks for the facts. Perfect for a race car to clear the smoke out of the interior, when used with the heater fan you have 3 fans blowin.

Was this option available on any other GM A-bodies?

I think I seen something in the Fisher assembly manual for the Olds. The fan switch is a Pontiac carryover.

My 72 GS 350 convertible also has this option.

I am wondering how you gain access to the fans?
Is there a bolt in panel along the inner-fender cowl area?

Fenders have to come off to install this system. I have one to install on my GS.

In pictures of cars with this option, I believe you can see the screws protruding the top sides of the upper cowl surfaces as the fans are mounted upside down to the upper portion of the inner cowl.

Both interesting and curious. So this system uses an AC firewall?

I am truly sorry Ryan. With the above posts, I didn't realize this was the "for sale" section.
I guess consider this post a bump for a great rare part.
