Found a gem of a '65 Lesabre but rusty mounts? need help and pics PLEAZZZZEEE Local man w/ ties to old family body shop has a lesabre for sale $4,000, Orig. paint.vrey little rust just dime- sized spots on hood-not through. Lowe fender will need a patch 3x10in. No biggie. 355 Nailhead-NOW IS THAT A 300 OR A 301 BLOCK!! There is some confusion. O.K. back to the body. Front cowl by window trim is great, but rear has some rust, not real bad though. What I rREALLY NEED TO KNOW---- The rear body mounts (both sides),-whereever they attach are GONE- not the mounts just surrounding metal. Need advice AND PICS to give me some idea of what WAS there. Looked under MY RIV but just differend beasts.Brandy likes this car. PS PB custom interior COLD AC,rebuilt tranny, new master cylinder and brakes, shocks. GOOD DRIVER. MY buddy is out of town so he can't look at it. Thanx, this one won't be around for long.
Can't give you much advice, but if the aircleaner says "355" it ain't a nailhead. Buick air cleaners show the engine's torque rating. I believe that all 65 LeSabres had 300s. Distributor is in the front, aint it?
