Anyone out there able to provide a pic or two on front and mid engine plates installed? I've fabracated the front plates out of 1/4 inch aluminum and the mid plate is 90" steel. Just curious about what others have done and how they look. Thanks in advance.

I used the same material as you described....sounds very good.
I'll see what I have for pictures.
How much longer till you run the car?

here's the mid-plate....we moved some of the header tubes on the passenger side then trimmed the plate here and there to allow clearance for both headers.

How much longer till you run the car?...don't know yet Gary. Am completing the fuel system now. Had to do a bunch of "redo" and rethink based on John's suggestions. I work on the beast everyday since I'm retired. Just hope I'm not too old to drive it when it's done. I can see a few more weeks of work then off to the local track. It's LACR, L.A. Country raceway, only about 30 miles from here.
On the mid engine plate, I notice your's apparently attach to the side of the frame rails. Hummm, I was going to attach mine to both the top and side. I guess that should be O.K. I am fabracating brackets and then welding them to the frame with the plate bolted to the bracket. Sound O.K? I've not purchased a 4500 stall converter yet. Yikes, the prices. I may or probably will run with the 3500 I already have in there, until the god of dollar drops me some green.
Thanks so much Gary for your continued interest and responses. You, John, and a few others are really a big help to this o'l guy.

Your order of install on the brackets should be fine....
Good luck and keep us updated,You should run good despite the tight converter.
