I have a 64 Buick Lesabre and the front drum brakes kind of scare me when I stop. I was wondering if anyone knew of a conversion kit or maybe another car that I could use that has disc brakes. Thanks
Same boat I just bought a 65 LeSabre and I'm in the same boat (so to speak) as you! Hope someone has a solution.
If i remember right, there was an article in Rod and Custom Magazine on this very subject about a year ago. I think the company is Master Power brakes that will do the conversion but you have to send it the whole spindle and all. That puts the car out of action for a while. If you could find some duplicates in a junk yard, then send those off, it would keep your ride on the road. Check Rod and Custom's archives, I honestly can't remeber what issue etc... but I know it's there.
