Front/rear Bumpers And Grilles

this may be a dumb question but I just got involved in the restoration game a few weeks ago...so here goes:

in the last few weeks, i got a few catalogs (year one, etc) but I didnt know what to do when I didnt see any rear/front bumpers or grilles

(oh yeha I have a 72 skylark)

do they reproduce these at all? because i dont know any other way to get them. they have the rubber but im talking about the actual piece

if anyone can help i'd appreciate it. thanks

 

Assuming that you still have your original bumpers, you can have them rechromed. Cost is about $400 per bumper on average. Other places will sell you rechromed bumpers for cheaper but then you usually have a core charge of $100 - $150 plus shipping.
As far as a grille goes, look under the parts for sale area here and other websites. There are no repro's :ball:
Just be thankful you don't have a 71 GS in need of a grille.

I was looking through some old postings, and saw that you were looking for front and rear bumpers and a grill for a 72 Skylark. Are you still looking? I am going to be taking off my bumpers and replacing them with fiberglass ones. They are now perfect, I had them recrhomed several years ago and it is good enough for a daily driver, or a local cruise in. The rear has a place were someone had held the bumper while in the chroming process and the chrome didn't take. Sort of funny when you see it. The rubber is in great shape around the tail lights.
I also have a 71 Skylak grill that would fit, but isn't right for the year.
If you are interested I would sell it all for $300.00 plus shipping (this is inly the bumper, not the liscens plate holders or lights of any kind). Not sure if UPS will take bumpers or not.

im in dire need of a front bumper for a 72 skylark. my car was hit not too long ago by a drun k driver and my bumper and pass side fender are ruined. if steve doesnt take you up on them ill sure fork over $300. thnx!
