    Looking for a place to buy the correct style front shocks for my '71 Stage 1. F-41 suspension package. Are the spirals correct? Color?

    Also, should I clean up and repaint the tie rods and center link, or buy new?

    Len,
    If you have a 70-72 GS with the F-41 suspension package then spirals are not correct. The shocks were identical in shape, length, and color, but were not spirals.

    Duane;

    So, I could purchase "standard" Monroe shocks and paint them the infamous GM shock gray?

    Steve;

    I'll check them out at the stores this weekend. I already have a can of the shock gray that I bought (and used) for the new rear shocks.

    Thanks.

    Len,
    That is correct, the only difference in appearance would be how the shock bolts to the rear. (Now this is for the 70-72 Buick A-body F-41 equipped cars only, the others came with spirals.)

    Duane;

    Thanks for the info. I visited the body last week, they fixed the rusted brace and began cleaning up the patches on the bottom side of the body. They should have it ready to drop back on by April/May. By that time I should have the chassis ready. I may wait to pick up the fuel and brake lines at the Carlisle show, save some shipping costs.

    I'll post some photos soon.
