Hello everyone, I originally had this car posted on this site however; with some site issues the post was deleted. Therefore, I am reposting this in hopes of selling more parts from the car, or sell it in its entirety. I still have a ton of parts, so let me know what you may need. 1970 Buick Skylark GS – Green Title – Originally a Buick 350 2 model Has a 8.2 POSI rear end and front disc brakes The following have already been sold and are no longer on the car. -Grill -Hood -Bucket Seats -Steering column and floor shift -Instrument Cluster Everything else is fair game. Let me know what you are looking for and if I don’t have a picture, I will get one. I will determine the price of the parts as they are requested. If someone is interested in the entire car, I would like $2800 OBO (Green title remember) – Car would need a new floor pan, both quarters and the parts already sold. This price does not include the motors and transmissions. (They are not #’s matching) It does include extra doors, fender, and a bunch of misc pieces. Pictures - http://buickgs.myphotoalbum.com/view_album.php?set_albumName=album01 I can be reached by the following. Jmarshall38@cox.net Josh_marshall@dell.com 405-420-3139 (leave a message)
I am interested in a package price on the disc brake setup spindles out with booster and master if they are in good condition. Tom
They are all there but would need to be reconditioned since the car hasn't been ran since the 80's. I would like $550 + shipping for the entire brake system.
I am asking $550 for the rear. However, I am unsure how much it would be, and how to go about shipping a rear end.
Are you referring to the worm gears, the box on the frame? Currently, I do not have the code. Where would I get this and I would be more than willing to look. I original owner explained that it was an 8.5. I do have the panels, however they are pretty beat up. I would think it would be easier to get new if they are available.
Axle numbers are stamped on the axle tube, on the forward facing, passenger side. Also an 8.5 can be identified (when looking from the rear towards the cover) by two "square" ears hanging off the lower part of the differential case, at approximately the 4:30 and 7:30 positions.
For everyone who was wanting to know about the rear end... I believe I have the following after looking and following good advise... 8.2 rear end with 3.23 gears.. I dont believe I have the square tabs like an 8.5 does.. Also, for the life of me I could not find the Axle codes....ou: I did do the drive shaft turn and got 3-1/4 turns. Thus, my thinking for 3.23 gears... Hope this helps!! Josh
hi. IF..."IF" you should cut this car into pieces....my SunCoupe was wrecked on the passenger rear quarter just behind the door jamb..I bought the car knowing it was never repaired correctly The power passenger rear window is constantly off track because the sheet metal, now under 14 inches of a thick, cheap auto body bondo job, is damaged, twisted and non complying for the window track operation. uzzled: SOooo, heres that "IF" again, if this part of the car is usable and rustfree, send me pix and we'll move on from there. TOO BAD I've cut up many 70-72 Buicks and never thought about salvaging this part for my own car... ou: :spank: ou: :spank: ou: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
