    Ft. Worth TX car lot full of old complete classics: 1963 Skylark 2dr HT

    I was on business earlier today and found a car lot full of 50’s, 60’s & 70’s cars and am posting some pics and other info. The lot (&cars) are owned by an adjacent aftermarket auto parts business. The business is in northeast Fort Worth, Texas area and a contact there is John (817-838-3200). I do not know him and only happened upon these cars while checking Craigs List on business. My gut tells me that the prices are negotiable. The story goes that the owner of the business next door bought an entire lot of old cars from a rancher about 30 or so miles outside of town where these cars had been sitting in a field for years (& years). He told me that he brought some of the cars (on the lot) in to town to display and advertise for sale and that the 50 or so cars on the lot now represent about half the total cars as he needs more space to bring additional cars in. On the lot, I found:
    1. 1972 Skylark 2dr HT $2800 (complete, Heritage green, complete interior & 350-2/350 drivetrain), see pics in prior thread;
    2. 1963 Skylark 2dr HT, $1295, see pics in this thread;
    3. 1960 Le Sabre 2dr HT (red & white, drive train present, radiator gone, interior seats changed, clean trunk, but rust in interior floor board), see pics in subsequent thread;
    4. 1963 (?) Electra 225 4dr HT $1275 (cornering lamps, complete interior), see pics in subsequent thread;
    5. 1964 (?) Olds 98 4dr HT, unk price, see pics in subsequent thread;
    6. 1961 Bonneville 4dr HT $2100 (8 lug wheels, complete interior), see pics;
    7. 1955 Pontiac Safari wagon, see pic in subsequent thread.

    I cannot post all the pictures in one thread, so I will post pics in separate threads for individual cars following this lead thread … I guess.

    Note that the ad on Craigs List is below with some descriptions of various cars and further states that the guy wants to sell complete cars, not part out the vehicles.

    The ad copied ver batim:

    Here it is:
    5518 East Belknap Street in Haltom City. I think the associated business is Rucker Performance (?) and the contact's phone number is in the first post. There were some late 60's & early 70's Mopar muscle iron there that did not make it into the pics ... but they were off to one side. I was just kinda looking at the Buicks.
    In all fairness and if you do have a chance to go by there and spend more time, maybe you could inquire about other cars that have not been brought into town yet, etc. It would be nice if some of these cars made it to people who would/could really use them or the parts in a worthwhile way. Let's face it, some of the prices I saw were probably at or below the scrap value of all that metal.
    I also found John's email address (kgjg84@yahoo.com) as he responded to my inquiry. He also explained that he was in the process of advertising the various cars in different media, etc., and was the point person for questions. So, I'm sure he wouldn't mind email questions.

    Thanks Hawken.

    I don't know when I will get a chance to go look...trying to do to many other things right now (sell my daily driver and get a new one).

    The 72 skylark isn't in that bad of shape for someone who would want to make it into a drag car or a street rod.

    Lots of old cars like this facinate me as there can't be too many places left to find old barn yard specials.

    Yeah. I almost pulled a muscle in my neck when I saw those cars out of the corner of my eye ... it's been a long time since I have see that much old iron in one place.
    I hope it works out for you and some other people.
