I've driven my '73 Riv for almost 15 years with a leaking tank. About time to do something. Has the cancer around the seam. Gas gauge doesn't work either. Just track the mileage...and keep a gas can in the trunk!

Been looking around and AutoZone offeres a new tank for $210. Sounds "too good" to me.

Anyone used that? What have y'all done with your bad tanks?

New tanks cost in the range of $175-225.

If you want some comps see www.gastanks.com model GM40Tfor $179 plus overszed shipping.

Do not try to save an old tank. Get a new one and a new sending unit.

Thanks, Jim. That's the P/N I was looking at.
