Gas Tanks ?

Well, It is time for a "new" gas tank for my 72 Stage 1 convt. Any reccomendations? I would like to avoid the huge/inflated shipping costs if possible. Y1 has them for about $240.00 Thanks, Upstaged in Michigan

 

Just installed one of these in a 71. Same tank made in Canada.

Cheapest I have found is here. Because they are oversized no shipping is cheap.

Maybe call manufacturer and see if they have local distributor near you and maybe you could pick up.

 

I found some tanks here but haven't used them yet.

The same Quanta tank is generally sold cheaper at the link I posted above. I have bought from both links in the past. Both links sell the same Canadian built tanks.

 

If you can hold out ..Pick them up at a swap meet I paid $125 for those Quanta tanks last Fall Carlisle They didnt have on in stock for one of my TA's and they sent it out free of freight within a week.

 

I just received one of their tanks for Christmas, it matches up perfectly with my old one. The straps are alot thinner than the originals, but, I am going to use them.

The one GSMuscle posted is the one I`ve been thinking about getting for my 72.I`m wondering if it`s the Canadian made tank.

 

Says made in North America and to my beleif only one is and that is the Quanta tank.

 

i purchased mine from adavance came from canada fit great .

 

I bought the tank and sending unit from adeals on ebay.We`ll see what it`s like when it gets here.

 

I just bought and installed mine that i bought from Goodmark for my 68. It's the Canadian one and it was a dead on match with the original. Best $209 I spent yet

Well I got the tank yesterday.It is in the one made in Canada.It made a lot of noise when i picked it up in the box.I thought the lockring was rattling around in the box.Opened it up and pulled the tank out and it was still rattling.Took a flashlight and looked in the tank and there is a piece of pipe about a foot long rolling around inside the tank.No way to get it out!Oh well that`s the luck I`ve been having lately.I called the and they were real friendly. They said they would ship out another tank today and have UPS pick this one up.
