So, I have a 72 skylark. I don't use air conditioning in my dd, let alone the Buick. I'm sick of looking at the ac box on the firewall. I have access to a 75 laguna S3 with heat only. Does anyone know if that box work in my car?

For what it is worth, 68-72 a/c cars and Non-a/c cars firewalls are different pattern; Non-a/c heater/fan box wont fit up to a/c firewall, and vice versa. I don't THINK GM changed the setup in later cars,(73-77), but dunno for sure:Do No: . Going out on a limb and willing to bet that it doesn't fit. Going to one of the local big salvage yards later today or Monday and will look and see.

Fwiw, the Laguna had a/c and I put the non-a/c box on. So I'm guessing the firewall did change some. Guess I will just deal with the big box until I shell out the $130 to OPG for the conversion plate. Thanks.

You have a heater only blower motor box, or a a/c set up?
