Anyone done any crazy work on the A-body frames 64-66? I just finished notching my rear frame welding in various supports and a new front end on my 66 Skylark. First time doing something like this and it seems to be getting a little closer to being able to put the body back on.

Cool:cool:. Are you doing a mini tub or notching the rear/trunk floor pans or will all the "new" stuff you did fit still??

I have a Minitub kit from Detroit Speed. I'll cut out and weld the mini-tubs in. Last mod to still do.

I am in the process of welding over all the seams in my 65 GS frame. About to start with the ABC performance mini tub frame kit. Other then that im not planning much else, Welding in some brackets to strengthen the control arms and such. I don't believe any of the bars that are designed to stiffen the frame actually work well enough to justify the install.

Im curious how hard it would be to add in the mini tubs into the body later down the road when the car is on the road?

I'll let you know but my guess is that's it not too difficult. I'll have a better idea in a couple weeks.
